François Baur

The Baur Family winery was established in the beautiful village of Turckheim, Alsace in 1741. The Domaine consists of exceptionally situated Vineyards, offering a Southern and granite soil. With an average annual production of 70.000 bottles (out of which 35.000 are Crémant), Pierre and Thomas Baur carry on the traditions of the past generations while keeping an eye forward to the future. Their deep knowledge of the Terroir and strict work in the Vineyards enables them to enhance the complexity of the wines they produce. They view themselves as working a natural treasure with the promise of preserving and improving it for their descendants.

Pierre and Thomas have chosen to pursue another level of quality by converting the whole Domaine to Biodynamic farming.
